Sharing My Project Life Layouts, Weeks 8 and 9

Published by: Tammy M on 5th Mar 2010 | View all blogs by Tammy M
I know last week I posted that I didn't have many POTDs to share due to the fact that we spent 2 weeks, butts on couch, watching the Olympics.

But, I decided to go back and revisit how I did the pages. I was tired of the same old shot.

So I went to www.ctvolympics.ca and took photos of some of the things I remember best about the 2 weeks and printed them off for our album.

So my BIG DISCLAIMER - I did not take these event photos. A few are shots I took of the TV. I am simply showing these layouts as an idea you can use to incorporate events that affect us, but that we may have not been directly involved with.
Credit for the photos go to Getty Images, Canadian Press and CTV Canada themselves.

By the way - a HUGE "Thank You" to the CTV network for their fantastic coverage of the games. Anytime of day we could get any event we wanted in it's entirety.

Week 7 - Left Side

Week 8 - Left Side

Week 8 - Right Side

Week 9 - Left Side

I created this by using the medal standings chart on www.ctvolympics.ca and then in Photoshop, adding the stats I wanted to highlight.

You can see that I didn't do much journaling in the 3x4 slots, but I will add a 4x6 journal card behind the photo of my husband and nephew doing the "Jump & Wave" with more of my personal thoughts.

I also want to include the poem "We Are More" by Shane Koyczan. I may break from my determination to use the kit in it's purest form and actually add a 8x11 page protector with the poem printed out. I haven't decided though, as I am truly loving the Project Life kit exactly the way it is.

Have a super weekend!

Your account of the olympics is great. Sadly we were unable to watch them since my husband and I are both taking college classes and studies came first. It would have been fun to watch.
