Celebrating Our Heros

Remember!

November is a special time around our home. We focus on remembering those that protect us and keep our country free.

Our family participates in numerous events during the week leading up to Remembrance Day.

Jesse-and-Don.JPGThankfully our community is faithful in recognizing the day with closing their businesses and schools so that everyone can participate in the ceremonies. Our schools host the local veterans in events honoring them and their service to us all.

This year, our youngest son was asked to play the bagpipes for the ceremonies held in our community and in a neighboring community. He was so proud to honor them that way. It was great to see him interacting with the WWll veterans and thanking them for keeping our country free. The younger soldiers from Afghanistan left a lasting impression on the crowds as they shared. It was all very moving.

Every year I am committed to making sure my family NEVER FORGETS!

Does your family have a tradition around Veterans Day? I would love to hear how you celebrate those that help to keep us free.
