17 Things I Am Feeling Today

We celebrated another birthday in our house this week.

Our oldest is 17.

Yes that means I gave birth to our sons 5 days short of two years apart. And although the idea of combined parties seemed brilliant when they were 4 & 6, it can make the first week of March a little hectic to say the least.
I know I talked about our youngest last week and how I was in a bit of shock over our baby growing up so fast. With our oldest, a different set of feelings come to my mind and heart.

So here are 17 things I am feeling today about having a 17 year old in the house.
  1. HAPPY BIRTHDAY J.
  2. yes both my kids' names start with "J"
  3. teenagers can be fun
  4. teenagers can be trying
  5. I can't believe he will be graduating next June
  6. I am excited about the man he is becoming
  7. He is smart & goofy
  8. I love him so very, very much
  9. I think he should tell strangers at the mall that I am his older sister
  10. Seriously, I don't look old enough to have a 17 year old
  11. I have no concern about him being ready to go off on his own soon
  12. I love that he still wants to talk to me when he needs advise
  13. I appreciate how independent he is
  14. He will be a very fine catch for a very dear girl some day
  15. Okay make that a lot of days away
  16. I love his imagination
  17. It is totally okay that I have an almost adult son - really it is

Love Ya!

Congrats on 17 yrs of motherhood to you! I have two March birthday boys too, and find March more overwhelming than December, but it is all fun.

Question for you---on the most recent newsletter, there is an image next to yours at the top of a white desk. Do you have any idea what desk that is or where it can be found? It has open curved shelves at the end. Thanks for any leads you might have.
