I am happy to say I got 11 hours of sleep last night.
Yesterday's fundraising event was a huge success. The event raised over 1,000,000.00 dollars in about 6 hours (YES that is 1 MILLION). It is such an honor to be part of this event year after year.
One of my favorite things is that I am able to have the Grade 4's from my local elementary school create the centerpieces. This year they made adorable rustic footbridges out of clay. Thank you to their art teacher for continuing to inspire these kids through art.

Using An Overlay As Embellishment On Your Layout

I thought I should add a post not directly related to Project Life.
I know that many, including myself continue to create traditional
pages.
In December, the Challenge of the Month was using transparencies/overlays. I just love the layout Tracy E shared has her example. So I went on a search for an overlay myself.
Now with Christmas and New Year's I must confess I haven't actually completed the challenge and here we are already with January's challenge in full swing, but it is my intention to still complete it.
I will post the finished layout as soon as it is done, but I thought I would show you the overlay I am considering...

Make Your Project Dazzle With Zing Embossing Powder

I don't usually create cards for Christmas - I know that is BAD.
But once in a while I get inspired.
This season it was Zing Embossing Powder that got me excited. I had done lots of embossing 3 1/2 years ago when I created our own wedding invitations. We had 150 at our wedding so you can imagine the task.
