17 Things I Am Feeling Today

By Tammy M
We celebrated another birthday in our house this week.

Our oldest is 17.

Yes that means I gave birth to our sons 5 days short of two years apart. And although the idea of combined parties seemed brilliant when they were 4 & 6, it can make the first week of March a little hectic to say the least.

Sharing My Project Life Layouts, Weeks 8 and 9

By Tammy M
I know last week I posted that I didn't have many POTDs to share due to the fact that we spent 2 weeks, butts on couch, watching the Olympics.

But, I decided to go back and revisit how I did the pages. I was tired of the same old shot.

So I went to www.ctvolympics.ca and took photos of some of the things I remember best about the 2 weeks and printed them off for our album.

So my BIG DISCLAIMER - I did not take these event photos. A few are shots I took of the TV. I am simply showing these layouts as an idea you can use to incorporate events that affect us, but that we may have not been directly involved with.

Where Has The Time Gone?

By Tammy M
Time seems to be flying by.

I seems like only yesterday I was kissing his chubby little hand after a spill, or gasping as he came running inside cover head to toe in mud.

Olympics and Project Life

By Tammy M
So I was getting ready to post my photos from my last week. You may remember that I started on January 1, so my week goes from Friday to Thursday.

Well as I was pulling my photos together to post, I realized I would likely bore all of you immensely.

My family and I have dubbed ourselves "Olympic Junkies" every day we have moved our computers to the family room and work in front of the TV so we can stay on top of what is happening in the Olympics.

We are very proud to be Canadian and watch all our athletes compete. So with that said, all my photos of the day have been basically the same thing - us sitting on the couch, with our computers watching the games.

Pathetic I know, but it is only every 4 years

Sunshine, We Enjoy Every Little Bit

By Tammy M
It was -5 Celsius outside today. Which by our Winter standards is truly a beautiful day. But it is still "minus" . With the sun lower in the sky at this time of year, we sometimes can feel a bit sun deprived, technically called SAD - Seasonal Affective Disorder. For those living further south, I am not kidding. It is a real condition.

Well we have discovered that humans are not the only ones to suffer from this very common disorder.

Although we haven't had the vet verify our findings, we are confident that our

Great Inspiration For Starting Your Project Life Now and Update On The Growing Project Life Photo Gallery

By Tammy M
So are you one of those people that got your Project Life kit after January 1 and didn't know where to start? Maybe it is just been ordered and you are still waiting for it to arrive. Are you lamenting that you didn't start taking photos on January 1, and now think there is no point in starting?

Well let me share a blog post I found today. Jen Johner is a fellow Canadian and I only just discovered her blog this year. I realize now that I have missed out on a lot of fabulous things this inspiring woman shares, but I am so thankful I have found her blog and I now keep up with it regularly.

Anyway, yesterday she shared how

These Titles Inspire To Create

By Tammy M
There was a time in my life when I thought I wasn't CREATING unless it was super inspired and all my own.

How silly is that. . .

Now I see creativity as a constant part of the journey. Our lives are full of creativity, whether by us, those around us or the maker of the universe.

I am creating when I write a blog post, when I a look through my camera lens, when I teach my child a new skill, when I read and expand my mind, when I . . .

you get the idea

CREATIVITY IS EVERYWHERE

Earlier today I watched the fog roll in thick and heavy, it made me think of a warm, fuzzy blanket. Looking forward to incorporating that feeling into a layout.

When we look beyond ourselves and see others creativity we grow in understanding and knowledge.

This evening I was reading one of my favorite

Olympic Gold, Another Reason To Be Proud To Be Canadian

By Tammy M

Yesterday you may have heard my country do a collective CHEER. I know we were jumping up and down as we watched Alexandre Bilodeau win our first ever Gold medal of the 2010 Olympic games. He also has the honor of winning the first Gold Medal for Canada on Canadian soil. It was thrilling.

His story is very inspirational as he speaks of the impact his brother has had on him personally and in his sport.

And yes this was my picture of the day.

and then

By Angie N
So here I am 14 days into PL, I really do love it.  At the end of  my crazy day I am able to sneak off to my scraproom sit for a few minutes and reflect on my day, that is usually when I write on the journaling card.  Having 3 kids I need that quiet time (especially when two of them are teenage girls).

I did make post it love note boxes for friends and my son's teacher.  That was fun too.

This past week I gave my whole family a valentine's week! Everyday I left them little gifts and a post it not.  I was able to hid the gifts for them each to find.  Of course by Friday I was exhausted from being cupid all week! My 9 year old son was VERY appreciative, he would thank me everyday after he found his note and gift and tell me thank you and he loved me.  of course I was soo busy getting the items ready and worrying about where to put them where they would find them that I didn't take photos. Maybe next year.

I made a resolution at the beginning of the year that at the end of each month I would print the photos from that month.  Before I would wait until there is a Scrap Night coming up to print photos.
So now I have all of my January photos in the box and on my list to scrapbook, of course I still have a few more 2009 pictures to scrap.

Off to look for some fun layouts to scrapbook.

Happy three day weekend!
