About

This month I want you to use paint on a layout. Some of you may have never used paint on a scrapbook page before, but don’t be afraid. There are so many fun ways to use paint – just grab an acrylic paint color and a brush and get creative.

On my tea cup layout you can see that I used paint in a few different ways. I coated my chipboard title letters in white paint and then embossed them with clear embossing powder. I also used a foam brush and made a journaling block on patterned paper. Once dry, I simply wrote my journaling with my black ink pen on the paint. Lastly, I used the paint around the edges of my circle photos and the circle embellishment. I did this the same way you would ink the edges of photos or paper.

Give it a try and let’s see what you come up with! Submit your photo of your layout for us all to see.

Here is one of my layouts where I used paint. I have created a border for my matted photo using paint that matched my red cardstock.

I wanted the page to have a bit of a grunge look so I used staples to attach it all.

What are some of your layouts? Please post them below.
