Unplugged = Rejuvenate

Posted by on June 16, 2014 in Blog | Comments Off on Unplugged = Rejuvenate

Earlier this month, Rumilio and I had the luxury of 4 days jetted away and unplugged. Last year Rumilio had earned this trip through work. We had to chuckle, as he did just what he always does every day, provided exemplary customer service to his customers. However, it was appreciated that his boss recognized his daily effort in this manner. We jetted off to Las Vegas, Nevada for 4 days of sun (and oh boy was there SUN). We spent 3 days golfing in 30° + temperatures – crazy I know. Only one day was I not able to finish 18 holes as it...

It’s Father’s Day on Sunday! I want to recognize two of the most important men in my life. They have helped shape me, encouraged me and nurtured my spirit. They are incredible. Not only have they impacted my life, they are excellent examples to our wonderful boys who have grown into incredible men themselves. My heart is full of joy! Thank you to my hubby (Rumilio) and my Dad (Norm) – you two are truly amazing. I am grateful each and everyday. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! I love you!   Their traits… | Create...

Q & A ~ Aqua Edition… This or That

Posted by on May 30, 2014 in Blog | Comments Off on Q & A ~ Aqua Edition… This or That

I had a great question come in this week regarding the brand new Project Life AQUA Edition. Stephanie asked: “I am thinking of buying the new Aqua Edition, do you know which of the 4×6 textured cardstocks from other editions will coordinate?” As you know the Aqua Edition was kept super simple – a Core Kit and Album. However if you are looking to add a bit more, here are my recommendations… Azure, Rain, Honey or Kraft Textured Cardstocks in 3×4 and 4×6 would work best with the Aqua Edition   PS...

This past winter I had an opportunity to make a couple baby quilts as gifts. My mom and sister helped me out, which made whipping these up quick and easy. I use free-motion quilting to add cute little owls randomly over both quilts         Here is sweet little Miss A in her pink quilt (being held by super proud big brother)   **************************** Quilt Details: Finished Size: 36″x48″ Design: Our own version of a Crazy Disappearing Nine Patch Batting: bamboo Backing: flannel Quilt top: 100% Cotton...

Practice Makes Progress

Posted by on May 15, 2014 in Blog | Comments Off on Practice Makes Progress

As I was golfing on a glorious spring evening, I was reminded again that PRACTICE makes PROGRESS. It is my goal with each game I play to have fun, enjoy the sunshine (and sometimes the rain), as well as improve my game. Not because I am competing against anyone. Just simply to improve myself.   Remember that in your scrapbooking. The act of DOING means you are PROGRESSING....

Celebrating Music Monday

Posted by on May 5, 2014 in Blog | 13 comments

On the first Monday in May, Canadians recognize the importance of Music Education and the committed educators who are talented, devoted and enthusiastic. Our children benefit via private lessons and those opportunities available in our schools. “Music is the universal language of mankind.”  ― Henry Wadsworth Longfellow My family feels very blessed to have had such an amazing, talented group of individuals in this small rural town completely committed (yes sometimes crazy) to the development of music in our kids. Our sincerest THANKS go out...
