Project Life Photography Theme {week 42}, Creative Process

 Happy Weekend!

This week’s Project Life Photography Theme is to record a creative process.

What are the steps you, or a family member takes to create something?

It could be a craft, work, or in the example I will share today – a recipe.

My husband has mastered an amazing Habanero Pepper Sauce that is not for the faint of heart!

We were running low here at home and he has people across the country who look forward to ordering their jars of “Rome Sauce”

Over the years he has developed a MILD, MEDIUM, HOT and “OH GOSH” (which is super hot and has you gasping, saying ‘oh gosh’ )

The process can take a while and of course there is the taste testing to determine which ‘level’ of heat each batch should be labelled.  That’s my favorite part *grin*

What creative process can you record this week?

Project Life Photography Theme {week 41}, Near and Far

Can you believe it is the middle of October already.

I am worried I will blink and it will be Christmas morning – LOL

This week’s Project Life Photography Theme is to see your subject from a couple different perspectives.

I chose Near and Far for this series.

Our son was picking pie apples so we could make some yummy pies. I took this ‘close up’ of him in the tree.

However, this photo really captures how high up in that tree he really is – Yikes.

How do you see things differently in your photographs? Try to take multiple shots of different perspectives this week. Change it up and get creative.

Project Life Photography Themes {week 38, 39 and 40}

This is CATCH – UP Friday!

I spent 10 wonderful days traveling with my husband and then with 2 of my very special BFF’s.

My first weekend away was a road trip with my wonderful hubby, celebrating our anniversary, a long overdue birthday present to him (like 8 years overdue) and my big 4-0. We experienced the amazing city of Seattle and just fell in love with it all. The waterfront, restaurants, people… it was AWESOME. Thanks Seattle for all the good times.

One of the main reasons we chose that weekend (hint – it is part of that overdue gift) was the Monday Night Football game.  His team (Seahawks) against my team (Packers). Loud . Crazy . Electric .  are just a few words to describe the experience. We both LOVE football and are very passionate about our teams. Little did we know that it would go down in history as one of the more infamous games EVER. Of course my team was ROBBED! Robbed, I am telling ya!

But it was such a great weekend all around, including the drive through the mountains. The beauty of the Rockies is a sight I will never take for granted. So blessed to live so near to them.

My second weekend was with of my 2 BFF and it was in Las Vegas – need I say more?

As you know I celebrated the Big 4-0 this year and two of my girlfriends also celebrated “zeros” at the end of their numbers this year – so we thought it was fitting we do a little weekend away. Yippee!

So much fun, so much walking and way to much shopping *GRIN*

You know the saying “What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”  *wink*

Project Life Photography theme(s)

I know I have some serious catching up to do, so I am combining week 38, 39 and 40 into this post.

{week 38} Road Trip

Whether for a day, a weekend or an entire vacation – road trips are a great way to spend with your family. Awesome bonding time and for me, catching up on some sleep.

I am the designated ‘navigator’ when we travel.

First time ever in Montana – GORGEOUS!

{week 39} Bucket List

Is there something on your Bucket List you can do this week? Maybe you have already done it? Maybe you have made plans to do it soon? Maybe it is still a far off dream?

Whatever the situation share something that is on your Bucket List. You can always grab an image from magazine to put in your album of something you want to do or see in the future.

Showing our true colors!

We even had fans stopping us after the game to take our photo – couldn’t believe we each loved such rival teams AND each other.

This crazed fan was cheering so loud at one point the cameraman turned a captured him screaming and we all go to see it on the big screens in the stadium – how awesome is that?!

{week 40} Give Thanks

This weekend is Canadian Thanksgiving

We gather with our families. Remember all we are THANKFUL for and the blessings we have. Make a list of the loved ones and things you are grateful for. Take photos of those you love interacting together. Have your family really participate in sharing from the heart this week.

You can right click to save and print this little 3×4 freebie

I am THANKFUL for each and every one of you!

**HUGS**

Have a wonderful and safe long weekend to all my fellow Canadians.

Project Life Photography Theme {week 37}, Firsts

This week’s Project Life Photography Theme is all about FIRSTS!

Now, I know you are going to think about the obvious – Baby’s Firsts… but that is not where it ends.

We will experience many firsts in our lives and sometimes more than one simultaneously.

Our youngest had the experience of purchases his first vehicle. His hard earned money and another step towards being an independent adult. However, he opted to make that first purchase when he was at his very first auction sale. Gutsy!

Personally auction sales scare me a little, but he worked with grandpa to get as much info as the could. Talked to some seasoned auction buyers and got their perspective and went into it as fully prepared as one can for a first time auction buyer.

I love the smile of pure happiness on this boy’s face as he overcame some obstacles and fears and forged ahead into the unknown… and SUCCEEDED!

so proud of him!

What are some of the FIRSTs you or your family are experiencing right now?

Have a great weekend!
