Hey Travellers, How To Recover From Jet Lag
I posted this question on my facebook and twitter accounts on Saturday morning.
Our son was travelling home from his band tour in the United Kingdom and I wanted to be sure I was giving him the right advice.
Here are the top 5 tips for those of you who ever travel over many times zones (specifically East to West)
- Drink LOTS of water
- Adjust your meal times to your destination the day before, if possible. However, for sure adjust them the day you get to your destination. Eat light!
- Go to bed at your regular time for the timezone you are in.
- Get up early the next day.
- Get out in the sunshine so your internal clock registers that it is daytime.
We had family over, looked over all his 600+ pictures, had him share about his trip and then played games until it was his usual school night bedtime.
