Now For The Bad News!
Due to the Christmas / New Years holidays, we have missed our window of opportunity to have these available to you in early January. In fact, we are being told that it will likely be the first week of February before the products will be available to you via Amazon.co.uk.
YIKES – I can hear the screams and cries of disappointment from here. Please know that I am joining you in that disappointment. I couldn’t believe it when I was told this morning and have spent the day trying to see if there were any other options. Unfortunately there is not.
What About The Clementine & Cobalt Editions and The New Signature Binders
What I can update on those products is that we are anticipating they will leave our warehouse sometime during the first week of January. According to our information right now, it will likely be the end of February or even beginning of March before they are available for purchase.
What have I learned from this?
1. Shipping freight right around Christmas is ALWAYS going to take longer than expected.
2. That I hate being the bearer of bad news *period*
I want you to know that I so appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to bring all of the Project Life products to you. As soon as I have any further information or updates, I will post it here on the blog, as well as on Facebook and Twitter. I recommend that you connect via one or more of those options to be sure you have the latest news.
I welcome your feedback and questions. Please post them in the comments below or feel free to contact me directly. I will answer every one!

Sorry to hear this – I know it’s not your fault and you are just the bearer of bad news but I feel that non US customers have been completely given the run around over PL. I know lots of things are out of your control but let’s be honest Christmas is the same date every year!
Pauline, You are absolutely correct about Christmas being the same time every year and it had been our intention to get everything in place well before Christmas. However, what isn’t the same this year is that Project Life was completely revamped and then expanded 1000% which unfortunately left some variables we did not fore see. It has been one big learning curve for all of us. I am sorry for the disappointment and frustration.
I agree with Pauline completely, why is it American and Canadian customers are able to have the products yet they are only being shipped to Amazon UK now! This should have been factored in and less given to the US customers so we could at least have some so we can start at the beginning of the year like everyone else. I know it’s out of your controi but maybe you could pass these comments on to Becky!
Dawn,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I completely understand your frustration. Unfortunately it is all about the process of what it take to get it into the UK/European market and a couple extra hoops we have to jump through. I appreciate your patience. Most of the product is already on its way and the rest will be following shortly. I will be posting an update next week!
Thanks for the update, Tammy. It’s disappointing only bec ause I am so anxious to get my hands on more PL goodies especially the new Cobalt edition, and I was so so hoping we’d get them in January (my birthday month) to start the New Year with a new PL!
But on the bright side, they will get here eventually, and a lovely PL package in February and/or March will help cheer up the gloomy Scottish winter months after Christmas. I’ll just need to make sure I keep an eye on your updates so I can get them as soon as they’re available.
Jules,
Happy Birthday in January! You can still start collecting photos and journalling if you are interested in doing the Picture of the day format. I kept a small journal book with me in my purse and would write my notes there until my Project Life journal cards arrived and then I just copied it over.
Thanks for understanding and I am glad I can bring some cheer to your Scottish winter
Thanks for the tips, Tammy.
If anyone asks, I’m also going to request Amazon gift vouchers for my birthday so I can buy the new PL goodies when they are available!
Sorry to read this, but do you know anything about when customers in Norway will receive their products?
Margrethe,
As you will have ordered from the shop, you can see the update I did here http://www.scrapbookersinnercircle.com/2011/12/canadian-project-life-update/
Most orders to Norway take 6-9 weeks to arrive once they have been shipped. So if you are waiting on pre-ordered stock, the estimated delivery time does not apply until we have shipped your order. You will receive a tracking number at that time.
If you would like me to check your order, please contact me with the order number and I will look into it personally.
Hey Tammy, Don’t worry! Anytime of year is the right time to start PL
I’ve been anxious to do it for some time now, I’ve even started this year with page protectors and working through my stash of leftovers whilst awaiting the real stuff
We’ll get there together, just keep us posted like you do. We’ll hang in there.
Thanks Krisje!
So very true – Anytime of year is the right time to start Project Life!
I am beyond annoyed about this, I cannot for the life of me understand why it is taking so long to get the products to us over here in the UK & Europe. I think this is bad planning and just plain bad customer service. Like most people, I want to start my album on January 1st and keep up from day one, not have to re-journal everything 3 months down the line because you can’t organise things correctly. Enough said.
I have to say I completely agree with the above poster Sarah. This is just plain poor customer service and bad, bad business management.
What have I learned from this?
1. Shipping freight right around Christmas is ALWAYS going to take longer than expected.
WHAT? Sorry I dont wish to appear rude but does the volume of mail not increase significantly in the US at this time of year? Do your postal workers/shipping companies not stop work for Christmas?
I am now beyond disappointed as I have now made my own kit and bought bits elsewhere, so because of the poor management of this company I have taken my custom elsewhere.
You have not even had the courtesy to keep us updated.
I have only just (well, couple of weeks ago!) discovered the whole Project Life idea, and I LOVE it!! I am willing to be patient and wait for things to arrive at Amazon.co.uk, but can you give an idea of what the cost will be (I am in the UK, and really looking for just the plastic pocket pouches A and D and a folder at this point)? I need to know if it will be a financially viable option for me, or if I should just go ahead and start using more easily availble-in-the-UK sizes. many thanks!
Corrin,
So glad you have discovered Project Life! You are going to love it!
As for cost we don’t have all the final numbers nailed down quite yet, but it is our aim to be as cost effective as possible.
If you haven’t already, I suggest you sign up for my Project Life UK/Europe email blast so you can get the latest updates right in your inbox!
I am another who would like to have an idea of prices. The full kit you sold on Amazon.co.uk last year was so expensive by the time I could afford it, it had sold out! It would be really good if we can get some idea of the prices (e.g. usually $24.99 = £24.99) as I also be using my birthday money to purchase this kit. If the prices end up being more comparable to last years price the I will have to use UK companies as well.
