Pictures of the Day for This Past Week
It has been while since I have posted my Pictures of the Day, so I thought I would show you some from this last week.
I found myself a bit behind on my Project Life (okay, maybe more than a bit), but was amazed that in 2 short hours one evening I was caught back up. Just a few pictures to print today and I am up to date. If you are new to my blog and don’t know about the amazing Project Life Kit, please find out more in the Project Life Group. You can start anytime – REALLY!!
So back to my photos this week. I already showed you my Saturday and Sunday photos here.
So last Friday was shopping/grocery day. We have been so busy that our pantry was down to, well empty. It is so good to have a well stocked pantry. These are some of our staples we can’t do without.

Then on Monday I was playing with some of the stuff Michael taught me with my camera and Charlie was my subject.
Tuesday I put this together. Doesn’t it look delicious! When we have a turkey, we have sandwiches for a couple days and then I turn the rest of the leftovers into a casserole. My family requests turkey dinners, just so I will make the casseroles. I usually get 2 large casseroles from the leftovers and then freeze them. Then it is super easy to have a fantastic meal without any prep. I sometimes add stuffing to the top, if there is any left, but as you can see that was all gone before I had a chance to put these together.

Wednesday, I had to take our youngest to the orthodontist. We had heard that a spring snow storm was coming, but not until the evening. It was raining when we left at 8:30 in the morning. However, the weatherman up here is never to sure, and by the time we headed home at 11 AM (yes only 3 hours later), this is what we drove home in. Not a great photo, taken on my phone.
Well we got hit bad for the next 24 hours. The power was out Thursday and they actually ‘closed’ the high school for the day. First time ever I think. Thankfully spring storms don’t bring very cold weather. These are a couple shots of the road conditions in the morning (Yes, I went out in it – life goes on here in Alberta even in weather like this).
Our trees were just starting to bud, so the heavy wet snow wreaked havoc on them, but right after I took this photo, my hubby went out and shook them off so they weren’t damaged.
Today is Tax Day in Canada, so that is my focus.
Have a great weekend!
Happy National Scrapbooking Day tomorrow May 1! I will get to that giveaway next week.
